Galaxy S4 with Tizen OS? We Disagree!

Like we told you guys - mainstream media loves clinging on to rumors and feeding people fake stories so that these could become viral and bring in more profit. One such news is the rumor that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be coming out in April 2013 with Tizen as its operating system. So what is this Tizen OS you ask? Well, it is another open-source Linux-based mobile operating system that is being developed by Samsung and Intel and some of their other partners including Vodafone. The two partners have announced that this year there will be several new mobile devices that will use Tizen OS for the first time, and of course a lot of "reliable mobile websites" have already posted that the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3 will run on Tizen OS. Oh, for the love of God!

Galaxy S4 Tizen OS?

Alright, everybody has a right to their opinion and there are a few valid points in this theory. For example, since everyone will be interested in what the new Galaxy S4 has to offer, this will be a great chance to show Tizen OS. Yes, that is true, but how many people will actually like that fact that this premium device is running on an operating system that has not yet become something that we are used to? And do you really think that Samsung would let down their high-budget, Android fans like that? It wouldn't be a very good move on their part.

Finally, thing about this, if the Galaxy S4 running Tizen OS doesn't fit-in with all our expectation then people will start pointing fingers at this new operating system, saying that it is the reason why this awesome piece of hardware isn't working like we expect it to. Putting an operating system that just got out of beta on a flagship device? Now that sounds like a horrible move, and I can assure you that this is something that Samsung is not going to do. It just not a smart move.

Does this mean that Tizen OS is bad? Of course not! I have no idea how successful this software will be nor how good its quality will be compared to Android. For all I know it might be the best mobile operating system yet, but the world won't be ready to see it launch for the first time on a high-end device like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and this is just how things work.

Another thing to consider about the Tizen OS is that this isn't Samsung's personal project and that there are several other companies involved. One of the biggest in this partnership is Intel which has been trying to get into the mobile industry for quite some time now. The Galaxy S4 won't be using anything by Intel, and the rule of thumb suggests that Tizen OS phones will have to have Intel's great chipsets or processors in them. See the connection?

All in all, we will just have to sit tight and wait! Until then you can follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our RSS feed. Have a great day!
